D10 – Transplant U1

Today is more of the same for Latasha, but the medical team has given her a long list of goals.

Tasha got some rest last night, but if you’ve laid in a hospital bed for any period, you know how painful it can be on the body and the back. She has a lot of pain this morning, but that’s to be expected.

The doctors plan to remove some lines today and tomorrow; we’ll see how that goes.

The biggest concern right now is her heart keeps going Into Atrial Fibrillation with no known cause. That is an issue for many reasons, but mainly because she can’t leave the ICU without it being under control. This will require electrophysiology therapy to figure it out.

Physical, occupational, and respiratory therapy are working full throttle to get her back to normal. That has its ups and downs, but she’s making strides.

Hopefully, by the end of the day, some of the goals will be met, and she’ll be feeling a little bit better, but sitting idle and waiting isn’t fun.

The search for temporary housing continues, but something will surely come up.

More to follow.
