D23 – HLT Update

As things always seem to go on this journey, Latasha hasn’t had a good day today. She’s been tired and has had very bad nausea since last night.

Tasha hasn’t been able to ingest much food or liquids, and her creatinine levels are high, which means her kidneys are a bit out of whack.

Additionally, her labs show her anti-rejection medication levels are higher than they should be, which may explain her nausea symptoms. This is somewhat normal as Tasha, and the doctors are in the fine-tuning stage, where her body, organs, and medications try to find harmony, which takes time.

The darn rollercoaster snuck up on us again. With a possible discharge on the horizon tomorrow, it looks like that may be delayed.

We were able to walk this morning, but her energy levels quickly dwindled. This, too, is normal, as all the medical professionals keep saying each day will be different until we get to that 90-day mark to see some sort of a new normal.

So, all that to say, we hope tomorrow is a better day. Stay tuned.
