D44 – HLT Update

Today has been a bit more of the same for Latasha. More rest, walking, and waiting.

Unfortunately, though, Tasha’s nausea persists, so she’s only been able to drink protein shakes.

Her core strength and balance have been improving. As of this post, Tasha has walked 13 laps around the unit, which is 4,420 feet. Sixteen laps will get us to the mile marker, and there are several hours left in the day to reach that goal.

Tasha’s DVT ultrasound is still showing several blood clots, which must be dealt with.

There has been no decision on the next step, although not for a lack of conversation on the doctor’s part. We’re hoping that by the end of the week, we can have a better site picture of the plan for when Tasha can get discharged.

So, overall, it has been a good day, and we will take that win.
