D6 – Transplant U3

Here is a late update tonight. I needed to return to Dayton to get some essential things we didn’t bring and get the doggos situated for a bit.

Thank you to Miss Braelynn for managing the animals and the house in our absence. This young lady is truly the future of incredible young leaders to be!

To update you, Latasha and I spent much time today chatting before I had to leave. She is in great spirits, and the epidural is doing its job almost to eliminate all pain. Her family was there to keep her company.

Due to some of her arterial lines and other concerns, they kept her in bed to monitor her vitals. Physical therapy will begin tomorrow toward the slow road to going to the step-down ICU.

Although she can’t talk yet, she has indicated she feels a massive improvement on how she feels in regards to her breathing and blood flow. I cannot wait to hear about it in the coming days.

More to come tomorrow.
