Thank you to everyone who has reached out privately and on social media; I can’t express my gratitude. Engaging and keeping my mind of the waiting and wondering of my active imagination has been beneficial.
To update you, last night was full of activities from the medical staff for various reasons of concern. The short of the long is that Latasha received a lot of blood during the transplant, and that had second and third-order impacts that created some challenges. The medical team is dealing with that hour by hour.
They are likely going to have to take her back into surgery later today to deal with some of those impacts. We’ll cross the bridge when we get to it.
The medical team assured us that each transplant patient has their uniqueness and challenges, which is just part of the story she is writing.
Her fever went down, and she is resting very comfortably this morning. As we learn more, I will keep friends and loved ones updated.
I will close with that if you know Tasha, she doesn’t do anything easy (she’s a bit stubborn), so this part of her journey is 100% Tasha. We will all laugh about it later, tease her about it, and look back on this 20 years from now with gratitude and love for everyone who rallied around her with prayers and support.
Thank you! MTF later.
