As Tasha stated in her previous post, we got the call yesterday and felt many emotions. Ironically it is one year exactly since she was listed. There is nothing like excitement, fear, anger, sadness, joy, frustration, and everything else. An early morning drive with hours of reflection doesn’t do anything but intensify all of those, especially when it’s only been a month since the first dry run.
All that to say, we’re here, we’re optimistic, and we’re excited. The Cleveland Clinic preop staff are excellent, as usual. They all remember us and are so hopeful.
I will update once I know the outcome of the organ harvesting, OR the time is 2 pm.
We are praying for a successful transplant.
