As I sit here today, I feel a minor calm about myself and the state of everything. It is still too soon to call this a win, but we are getting close to seeing what the road ahead looks like. I’m not naive enough to think it’ll be easy, but I am confident that Latasha made the right choice, and her bravery and warrior spirit will beat the odds. Or we will both die trying!
So, to all of you who have graciously donated to Latasha’s recovery expenses and followed her, I cannot express my deepest and most sincere thank you enough! I am forever indebted to you all.
Seeing this play out over the last 12 months has been humbling, especially these past two weeks. It has been the most challenging thing we have ever done.
I have a lot of thoughts about the future and how I want to pay kindness forward and continue to help others on this journey. I want to get Tasha’s story out there nationally to raise money to help more families after our journey ends. To me, that would be victory—seeing another family who might not have the circle we do thrive—that would be full circle for Tasha and me.
Please continue to share her story and tag local news and influencers to publicize her story of overcoming the odds.
