Home-Sweet-Home

It has been an insane 72 hours, friends. Tasha’s doctors ran a barrage of tests, and she tolerated the tube feeding well enough. With that, Tasha was released for outpatient care, and we are home. Yes, we are home in Dayton, and we got Jack, Gunner, and Binx out of boarding—a special shoutout to Becky and the Hounds Town staff for caring for our animals.

In addition, all of her bronchoscopy biopsy results came back and showed no rejection of the organs and graphs at the cellular level. So, from a transplant perspective, everything looks perfect.

The stomach issues persist, and we have home healthcare supporting us. We also have several follow-up appointments in Cleveland with a GI/Nutritionist specialist, a GI surgeon who specializes in transplant patients and gastroparesis, and our standard clinic check-ins. So, we have lots of road trips in our immediate future, but that’s better than living like a nomad.

Tasha still isn’t feeling like herself yet due to the side effects of tube feeding, but hopefully, in the coming days, we can get out and resume a bit more normal life.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support and continued prayers.
